Yes. LegisHawk is free to download and use. The app is supported by ads. There are no subscriptions, paywalls, or in-app purchases.
Open any bill and tap the bookmark icon to add it to your watchlist. You'll receive push notifications as the bill moves through the legislative process — committee hearings, floor votes, amendments, and more. You can manage your watchlist and fine-tune which notifications you receive in the More tab.
Go to More → Find My Representatives and enter your street address. LegisHawk will identify your Iowa House and Senate districts and show you your representatives. Your address is used only to look up your district — we store only your district numbers, not your address. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Go to More → Notification Settings to choose which events trigger alerts. You can enable or disable notifications for vote results, committee hearings, amendments, floor debate, and more — either globally or on a per-bill basis from your watchlist.
My Interests lets you select the policy areas that matter most to you — education, healthcare, agriculture, taxes, and more. LegisHawk uses your selections to surface relevant bills on your home screen and send you alerts when new bills matching your interests are filed. You can update your selections at any time from More → My Interests.
AI bill summaries are plain-English explanations of bill text and fiscal notes, generated by an AI model. They are always clearly labeled so you know what you're reading. While we review our AI pipeline for quality, summaries may not capture every nuance of complex legislation. We always recommend reading the official bill text for a complete and authoritative understanding. A link to the official text is included on every bill detail screen.
Bill status, vote records, committee meetings, floor actions, and lobbyist disclosures are updated automatically throughout the day as the Iowa Legislature publishes new information. Campaign finance data is synced regularly from the Iowa Ethics & Campaign Disclosure Board.

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link shortly. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Go to More → Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible — all your data, including your watchlist, values profile, and notification preferences, will be removed from our systems. If you have trouble deleting your account in the app, email us at support@legishawk.app with "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.
