This page explains how to request deletion of your LegisHawk account and data, and exactly what is deleted versus retained. LegisHawk is developed and operated by LegisHawk.
Deletion begins immediately and is permanent. You do not need to contact us.
If you can't access the app, email us from the address associated with your account:
privacy@legishawk.appUse the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will complete deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will be signed out and will need to create a new account to use LegisHawk again.
Requesting account deletion, by either method above, permanently removes the following from LegisHawk's servers:
A small amount of data is retained after account deletion, either because it is held by a third-party service provider on our behalf or because it lives in shared spaces other users can see:
| Data | Why it's retained | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
| Crash reports already sent before deletion | Held by our crash reporting provider to diagnose stability issues. Contains no name, email, or content you entered in the app. | Up to 90 days |
| Analytics events already sent before deletion | Held by our analytics provider to measure app usage. Tied to a random, non-advertising install identifier, not your name or email. | Per provider's standard retention policy |
| Comments, testimony, or CTAs you posted in a shared Group | Groups are shared spaces; content you contributed may remain visible to other group members after your account is gone. It is no longer associated with an active account. | Retained until the group or post is removed by the group's owner |
We do not retain your email address, display name, watchlist, interests, or district information after deletion. See our Privacy Policy (Sections 6 and 7) for the full data retention policy.
